Accessibility statement

treat is committed to making the website accessible in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG), as amended, implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on barrier-free access to the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (Official Journal L 327, 2.12.2016, p. 1).

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.treat.agency

Efforts to support accessibility

treat is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with impairments. We continuously improve the user-friendliness for all visitors of our web offers and apply the corresponding accessibility standards.

Furthermore, we regularly involve people with disabilities in our quality process.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with compliance level AA of the "Web Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1" and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08), respectively, due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.

Content that is not accessible

Despite our efforts, some areas of our website are not fully accessible. The content of our website that is currently not accessible is listed below.

Please contact us as soon as you encounter a problem that is not included in this list.

a) Incompatibility with accessibility regulations

In some cases, WCAG accessibility criterion 2.4.4 (link purpose) is not met.

In order that important information and links can be found by the user in several places, links are occasionally offered several times on a page. (e.g. in the navigation and in the footer area of the page).

Since this success criterion is only broken by individual, particularly highlighted links, we have decided for usability reasons not to remove these multiple links.

On individual pages, HTML is used to format content. This does not meet WCAG success criterion 1.3.1. (info and relationships). In the CMS system used and the editor available there, certain elements (e.g. column width of tables) are formatted via "inline" style information. In areas where this formatting could be replaced with reasonable technical effort, this was replaced by corresponding CSS rules (Cascading Stylesheets).

b) Disproportionate effort

Videos

For some of the videos recorded, the subtitle is missing, so the spoken content is not available for deaf users. This means that WCAG success criterion 1.2.2 (subtitles recorded) is not met.

Our videos are partially hosted and published via the video platform Vimeo. It is no longer possible to provide the required audio descriptions after individual videos have been published. This means that WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (audio description recorded) is not met. Fixing these two criteria is a disproportionate burden in terms of the accessibility regulations.

When creating new videos, subtitles are taken into account.
