treat and exhibitionary just launched a brand new vodcast series for the art world called “What’s Poppin”!
What’s the idea?
We wanted to create a series that reflects the main advantage of exhibitionary — catching up on and discovering the authentic local art scenes!
So, we decided to focus our podcast exploring the spaces and galleries a specific city has to offer, covering one city after the other. The personalities behind these spaces will paint a picture of the local art scene and help answer the question: What’s poppin’?
Our plan is to return to each city after a while, so our followers receive long-term updates on developments.
But the best way to get a feel for the podcast is to watch it! You can check out the vodcast on YouTube or Spotify through the links below:
In the first episode, we dive into ZURICH featuring:
• Artist and curator Mitchell Anderson discusses his independent art space Plymouth Rock and Zurich’s independent art scene.
• Salome Hohl, Director of the legendary Cabaret Voltaire—the birthplace of Dada—shares insights on its ongoing legacy and the current exhibition with Lee “Scratch” Perry.
• Lorenzo Bernet, founder of the emerging gallery suns.works, tells us about his solar-inspired programming, including the Salon Solaire exhibitions celebrating the solstice.
• Olga Generalova, co-founder of Sentiment, discusses her interdisciplinary approach to exhibitions with Philemon Otth, the camaraderie between spaces, and her early career in art dealing—on cruise ships!
If you like the show, don’t hesitate to give us a shout-out on your socials, subscribe to the channel of your choice, and of course— sign up to our newsletter. ;)
