Vienna Digital Cultures is here — and we’re proud to be part of it

The new festival for art and digital culture has just been announced: Vienna Digital Cultures will launch its first edition this autumn, and we’re beyond excited to see our design work come to life. The 2025 edition is curated by Nadim Samman under the title Model Collapse, with Kunsthalle Wien taking the lead in this inaugural year of the festival.

A visual identity that adapts and evolves

The festival is a collaboration between Kunsthalle Wien and Foto Arsenal Wien, with curatorial leadership rotating each year. This ever-shifting focus called for a flexible design system — one that evolves annually, yet remains recognisable. We developed a “sticker” principle at the heart of the branding: a central logo that overlays changing imagery from edition to edition. The technoid typeface references digital aesthetics while subtly challenging their codes, and the color palette shifts each year to signal a fresh visual chapter.

Bold aesthetics meet accessibility

The soon-to-be-launched website, designed and developed by us, follows WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards — because high visual impact and usability should go hand in hand. We also created all digital and printed campaign materials, plus a full set of social media templates to support the festival’s rollout across channels.

Design in motion

It’s always a special moment when a visual identity steps off the screen and into the real world. From exhibition posters to motion assets, from browser to billboard — we’re thrilled to see our concept unfold and grow as Vienna Digital Cultures takes shape. We can’t wait for the opening on the 5th of May.
